SF ANIMAL SHELTER & HUMANE SOCIETY

Stop by the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society to meet Meet Pugsly, a dapper 35-pound 3-year-old mixed-breed fellow who loves to participat­e in playgroup with his shelter dog friends. He is good on leash walks and would make a great cuddle buddy. Fall in love and give Pugsly a second chance in life.

Sugar Bear is a beautiful 8-pound 11-yearold domestic calico shorthaire­d kitty. She is sweet, gets along with other cats and is looking for another chance in life.

These and other animals are available for adoption from the Santa Fe Animal Shelter at 100 Caja del Rio Road. The shelter’s adoption hours are from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. Follow the shelter on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Also on Saturday, stop by the shelter’s revamped Pet Memorial Labyrinth for a community event to honor the lives of lost pets. Guests are welcome to bring their pet ashes to scatter among the grounds of the memorial. There will be blessings from local spiritual leaders, live music, refreshmen­ts and an Adoption Open House with reduced adoption fees from 2-5 p.m. at the memorial labyrinth at the shelter. With every $100 gift made, you will receive a special memento as a keepsake to honor your pet.

ESPAÑOLA HUMANE

Come to Española Humane to meet Viola.

This tiny two-month-old cattle dog is smart and sweet, and would do best with a gentle family who can help her overcome her fears. She shivers when she’s held, but her spirit will shine with a little nurturing and time. Cattle dogs have strong bonds with their families. Her adoption fee is just $50, which includes spay surgery, up-to-date vaccines, a microchip and 6 months of heartworm prevention.

is a handsome flame-point Siamese kitten who is currently enjoying life at the shelter’s charming Cat Corral of adoptable kitties at Sunrise Springs Spa Resort in Santa Fe. Dart arrived fresh from foster care, and he is loving the resort life, playing and snuggling with guests during our daily Catnip & Catnaps sessions or stretching out with his kitten pals in a warm slice of sunshine. His adoption fee is $80, which includes neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinatio­ns, a microchip and FeLV/FIV testing.

Meet Dart and many other cats during the public adoption hours at the Cat Corral every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at Sunrise Springs, 242 Los Pinos Road in La Cienega.
