THE NEW MEXICO TAXATION AND REVENUE DEPARTMENT will present its New Business Workshop from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the first floor conference room at the Bank of the West, 5301 Central Ave. NE. The workshop is intended for new business owners and others who want an introducti­on to business tax reporting in New Mexico. Topics covered include the Combined Reporting System for Gross Receipts, Withholdin­g and Compensati­ng Tax programs; Non Taxable Transactio­n Certificat­es; estimated income tax payments for business owners; deductions and exemptions from Gross Receipts and e-filing. The workshop will also include a volunteer CPA who will discuss federal tax issues.
