ENMU women knock off No. 1-ranked D-II team

OREM, Utah — Trevelin Queen and Terrell Brown each scored 17 points to help New Mexico State stay undefeated in the WAC with a 70-56 win over Utah Valley Thursday.

Johnny McCants added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Aggies (13-6, 4-0).

Isaiah White had 16 points for Utah Valley (7-12, 1-3).

WASHINGTON STATE 72, No. 8 OREGON 61:

In Pullman, Wash., CJ Elleby scored 25 points and Washington State beat a Top-10 team for just the third time.

Elleby helped Washington State (11-7, 2-3 Pac-12) to its first win over a Top-10 opponent since 2007.

Payton Pritchard had 22 points and five assists for Oregon (14-4, 3-2).

No. 20 COLORADO 68, ARIZONA STATE 61:

In Tempe, Ariz., Tyler Bey scored 19 points, Lucas Siewert added 14 and Colorado overcame a slow start to beat Arizona State.

Colorado (14-3, 3-1 Pac-12) has won seven of eight overall.

Arizona State (10-7, 1-3) has dropped five of its last seven.

No. 22 MEMPHIS 60, CINCINNATI 49:

In Memphis, Tenn., DJ Jeffries scored 18 points, Precious Achiuwa added 12 points and 11 rebounds and Memphis used a rally midway through the second half to defeat Cincinnati.

Lester Quinones added 13 points, seven coming in the final five minutes for the Tigers (14-3, 3-1 AAC).

Jarrron Cumberland led Cincinnati (10-7, 3-2) with 19 points.

DALLAS BAPTIST 115, WESTERN NEW MEXICO 78:

In Dallas, Amarion Cash scored 17 points for the Mustangs (3-13, 2-7 Lone Star) in a loss to DBU (14-2, 8-2).

Women

EASTERN NEW MEXICO 69, LUBBOCK CHRISTIAN 68 (OT): In Portales, Zamorye Cox scored 29 points, including a game-winning jumper with eight seconds left in overtime, to lead the Greyhounds to a win over the No. 1-ranked team in Division II.

Alivia Lewis added 16 for ENMU (11-4, 5-4 Lone Star). Maddi Chitsey scored 18 points for Lubbock Christian (14-1, 8-1).

In Las Cruces, Gia Pack had 25 points for the Aggies (5-12, 2-2 WAC) in their loss to the Wolverines (7-9, 4-0).

UTAH VALLEY 58, NEW MEXICO STATE 54:

In Columbia, Mo., Aliyah Boston and Victaria Saxon each had 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead South Carolina to a victory over Missouri.

Zia Cooke and Mikiah Herbert Harrigan scored 14 each for the Gamecocks (17-1, 5-0 SEC).

Aijha Blackwell scored 13 points to lead the Tigers (4-14, 1-4).

No. 1 SOUTH CAROLINA 78, MISSOURI 45:

In Eugene, Ore., Sabrina Ionescu had a career-high 37 points to become Oregon’s all-time leading scorer, and the Ducks beat Stanford.

Ionescu went into the game needing 24 points to match Oregon (14-2, 4-1 Pac-12) career leader Alison Lang, who had 2,252 between 1980-84.

Kiana Williams had 15 points for Stanford (15-2, 4-1).

No. 6 OREGON 87, No. 3 STANFORD 55: No. 4 CONNECTICU­T 59, CENTRAL FLORIDA 52:

In Orlando, Fla., Megan Walker scored 19 points and Crystal Dangerfiel­d sparked a big first-half rally, leading Connecticu­t to a win over Central Florida.

It was the second single-digit win for the Huskies (15-1, 6-0 American Athletic).

Kay Kay Wright, who paced UCF with 18 points, led a second-half rally that got the Golden Knights (9-6, 1-2) back in the game.

No. 5 LOUISVILLE 81, BOSTON COLLEGE 70:

In Boston, Dana Evans hit seven 3-pointers and finished with 27 points, leading Louisville over Boston College for its ninth straight victory.

Yacine Diop, Jazmine Jones and Kylee Shook each added 12 points for the Cardinals (17-1, 6-0 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Makayla Dickens led the Eagles (9-8, 2-4) with 20 points.

No. 9 NORTH CAROLINA STATE 68, NO. 13 FLORIDA STATE 51:

In Raleigh, N.C., Elissa Cunane had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead North Carolina State past Florida State.

Freshman guard Jakia Brown-Turner scored 11 of her 18 points before halftime for the Wolfpack (16-1, 5-1 ACC).

Kiah Gillespie scored 22 for Florida State (15-3, 4-3).

WESTERN NEW MEXICO 60, TEXAS WOMAN’S 53:

In Denton, Texas, Kayla Clark scored 16 points to help the Mustangs (5-10, 2-6 Lone Star) top the Pioneers (5-9, 3-7).
