JOANNA FAIR, M.D., PH.D., has been named Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education at the University of New Mexico School of
Medicine, effective Feb. 1. Fair’s office oversees the training of more than 630 residents and fellows in more than 60 clinical programs to ensure that they comply with requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and other accrediting organizations. She joined the faculty in 2009 and previously was an associate dean for the past two years. She has a medical degree from Washington University and completed her radiology residency at the University of New Mexico.
MARK EPSTEIN has been promoted to the position of CEO at True Health
New Mexico. Epstein has nearly 30 years’ experience in the medical field, including other leadership positions at True Health. He also previously held senior leadership roles with Lovelace Health System, Presbyterian Healthcare Services and New Mexico Health Connections. Additionally, he serves on the board of directors of BeWellNM and the Greater Albuquerque Medical Association.
ENRICO PALERMO has been promoted to chief operating officer, effective immediately, of Virgin Galactic Holdings, Inc. In this newly created role, Palermo will be responsible for helping maintain efficiency and peak performance across the enterprise as it develops as a public company, and will lead the execution of specific company strategies and initiatives. He also currently serves as president of The Spaceship Company, the wholly owned aerospace manufacturing and development subsidiary of VG. In this role, he leads over 500 employees at the company’s facilities in Mojave, Calif. He joined Virgin Galactic in 2006 as one of its first employees. Palermo will maintain his capacity of TSC President.
