Trump, Republicans not taking virus and its resulting deaths seriously

TRUMP AND the Republican Party are a tragedy for our country. The pandemic is a political game for them. ... I’ve heard estimates of thousands of the dead, their numbers tossed into the salad of cover-ups, lies, misinformation and chaos that we are fed daily.

Over 900 doctors, nurses and pharmacists have died from COVID-19 while they worked the front line. Fifty-two percent of these workers are dead because they couldn’t get PPE. This was and still is another vicious non-response to the constant cries for help, picketing for help, begging for help. Trump says let them wear garbage bags, have no testing, wash your mask, I am the chosen one, I alone know what to do, let them drink bleach, they say.

Now they refuse to pass any legislation to help us survive with some kind of dignity. We are faced with the fear of evictions, foreclosures, utilities turned off and no way to put food on the table. Trump, the White House and the Republican(s) ...treat us with arrogance and contempt. Let them eat lies, they say.

... The COVID-19 virus is alive and well and killing people of all ages. Survivors are left with strokes, kidney dialysis, lung damage and heart problems that (may) last the rest of their lives. ... We really don’t know what this virus is capable of.

Why does Trump keep threatening us — to open up, (that) really everything is OK. Trust me, he says, it’s just like the flu — it will all go away ... like the CDC, any doctor who tried to tell the truth, and the standards for making a vaccine. Trump, the White House and the Republican(s) ... can do anything as long as they win and the ... Blacks, Browns, (Asians) and poor die. Let them fill the graves, they say.

... Please don’t be cavalier with your life and the precious lives of your children and elders. ... The tragedies we are living through are overwhelming. ... Our humanity is on the line. I hope with all my heart we have a chance to make things better again.
