THE N.M. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT presents the free event, Reimagining the N.M. Food Economy online from 1 - 5 p.m. on Tuesday.. Participants will hear from organizations leading the way in changing policy to address these needs, including the Barelas Community Coalition, NM Harvest, La Semilla Food Center, New Mexico Farmers Marketing Association, N.M. PED Farm to School Program, New Mexico Food and Agriculture Policy Council, N.M. First, Santa Fe Food Policy Council, and the N.M. Healthy Soils Working Group. These organizations will share stories of food community work that has led to policy initiatives and projects bridging food security, value chain connections, local economic development, and community empowerment. More than a dozen community partners will participate in a resource expo before and after the event. RESOLVE presents Foundations in Safety, a free six-session virtual workshop presented online via Zoom from 3 - 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Dec. 1, 3, 8, 10, 15 and 17. The class is open to all ages 13 and older. Registrants must commit to attending all six sessions. Enrollment is limited. The program offers participants extensive training in several foundational elements of personal safety, including deconstructing safety myths, as well as both discussion-based and experiential training in using voice, tone, body language, and verbal strategies to set healthy boundaries.
