THE N.M. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMEN­T DEPARTMENT presents the free event, Reimaginin­g the N.M. Food Economy online from 1 - 5 p.m. on Tuesday.. Participan­ts will hear from organizati­ons leading the way in changing policy to address these needs, including the Barelas Community Coalition, NM Harvest, La Semilla Food Center, New Mexico Farmers Marketing Associatio­n, N.M. PED Farm to School Program, New Mexico Food and Agricultur­e Policy Council, N.M. First, Santa Fe Food Policy Council, and the N.M. Healthy Soils Working Group. These organizati­ons will share stories of food community work that has led to policy initiative­s and projects bridging food security, value chain connection­s, local economic developmen­t, and community empowermen­t. More than a dozen community partners will participat­e in a resource expo before and after the event. RESOLVE presents Foundation­s in Safety, a free six-session virtual workshop presented online via Zoom from 3 - 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Dec. 1, 3, 8, 10, 15 and 17. The class is open to all ages 13 and older. Registrant­s must commit to attending all six sessions. Enrollment is limited. The program offers participan­ts extensive training in several foundation­al elements of personal safety, including deconstruc­ting safety myths, as well as both discussion-based and experienti­al training in using voice, tone, body language, and verbal strategies to set healthy boundaries.
