No. 7 Michigan continues dominating run vs. Badgers

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Mike Smith had 16 points and six assists, and No. 7 Michigan (11-0) remained unbeaten by routing No. 9 Wisconsin 77-54 on Tuesday night.

Coach Juwan Howard’s team became the first in college basketball history to beat three ranked opponents in a row by at least 19 points. The Badgers (10-3, 4-2) struggled to finish plays around the basket; the Wolverines had six blocks in the first half.

OKLAHOMA STATE 75, No. 6 KANSAS 70: In Stillwater, Okla., Cade Cunningham scored 18 points as Oklahoma State beat KU.

Kansas (10-3, 4-2 Big 12) trailed by three in the closing seconds and had possession, but Oklahoma State’s Bryce Williams stole the ball, drove the length of the floor and and dunked as time expired.

The Cowboys (9-3, 3-3) squandered a 16-point lead in the second half.

No. 20 VIRGINIA TECH 74, No. 19 DUKE 67: In Blacksburg, Va., Tyrece Radford had 18 points to lift Virginia Tech over Duke.

The double-double was the first of the season for Radford, who helped the Hokies (10-2, 4-1 ACC) take an 18-point lead and hold off a late rally by Duke (5-3, 3-1).

UNLV 95, SAINT KATHERINE 34: In Las Vegas, Nev., Cheikh Mbacke Diong had 18 points and 10 rebounds for UNLV (2-6).

WOMEN: New Mexico State and the Western Athletic Conference announced that NMSU’s series against Grand Canyon will be played Friday (2 p.m.) and Saturday (7 p.m.) at GCU Arena with NMSU as the “home” team. The games originally were slated for Jan. 29-30.
