Paula Bledsoe, 67, long time resident of Corrales, NM, passed away on January 12th, at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born on July 2, 1953 in Carthage, Tennessee to John Benton Fisher and Pearl Leach Fisher.

Paula graduated from Smith County High School in 1972 and Middle Tennessee State University in 1976 with a bachelors degree in sociology and minors in psychology and history. She married Louis M. Bledsoe in 1977. Louis was educated as an engineer and engaged in entreprene­urial enterprise­s through most of his career while Paula worked as an at-home mom and business owner, and devoted 30 years to the social services profession.

Paula touched thousands of families over her career in social services, impacting parents and children with not only the resources of her employer but the love and wisdom of her heart and her personal resources as well.

The nurturing service that she was able to render in her profession was simply an extension of her true joy, her love for her family.

Paula is survived by her husband and her children William Benton Bledsoe and JoAnna Nicole Anderson and her husband James, and grandchild­ren Silas, Avery, Ada, Ella, and Nora. She also leaves her brother John D. Fisher and his wife Myra of Carthage, TN their children Stacey, T.J., and John William. She was preceded in death by her brother Edward and her sister Patricia, and is survived by Patricia’s children Jonathan and Hannah.

A Celebratio­n of Life is in the planning stages, as soon as the Covid-19 restrictio­ns and weather will allow an outdoor gathering.
