THE NEW MEXICO TAXATION & REVENUE DEPARTMENT presents the New Employers Workshop from 11 a.m.-noon Tuesday online via Zoom. The workshop provides new employers with training in computing and reporting withholding taxes for New Mexico employees, and using the Taxpayer Access Point to file and pay. A representative from the New Mexico Workers’ Compensation Administration also will be on hand. Following the workshop, the IRS will conduct a New Businesses Workshop beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The IRS event will provide tax information to people starting a new business, particularly those who have spent their working careers as W-2 employees. All workshops are presented in a virtual format using the Zoom online meeting platform. Participants can ask questions using the chat function in the Zoom application.
