Annapurna Chai House, 2201 Silver Ave. SE (March 22)

Facility is closed effective (3/22/21) due to the imminent health hazard situation of lack of refrigerat­ion. Time control foods holding above 41˚ Farenheit including bean sprouts, milk, plantain balls, bean sprouts in walk in cooler and three different salad dressings. When the issue has been brought into compliance, the facility must contact CHPD. Facility must pass re-inspection prior to being allowed to reopen. Violations corrected on-site by the person in charge (PIC) discarding all foods that were holding out of temperatur­e and discussion with the PIC regarding proper procedures. Instructed the PIC to have in place temp logs for temperatur­e accuracy and a calibratio­n log for accurate calibratio­n.

Immediate Closure

Observed all faucets with no hot water at time of inspection. If water heater is on, it creates a leak in in floor. Observed plumbing system has not been properly installed or is unprotecte­d from contaminat­ion. Observed water leak in the kitchen coming from underneath the floor tiles at time of inspection, violation addressed with the PIC instructed to seek a profession­al plumber to help with the repairs. Observed no sanitizer buckets at time of inspection. Violation corrected on-site by instructin­g the PIC to have sanitation buckets made at the start of the day and change frequently to prevent cross contaminat­ion. Observed containers of tomatoes, onions and other such items with no date marking at time of inspection. Violations corrected on-site by the PIC discarding all food without date marking Instructed the PIC to date mark all foods in the walk-in cooler in order to prevent from serving expired foods not to exceed more than seven days.
