Sal is a handsome 3-year-old mixed-breed fellow who currently weighs about 37 pounds. Here at the shelter,

Sal, who is a bit shy to new people, opens up quickly and enjoys being the center of attention, especially in a quiet home. He know all the basics, including how to sit and stay. You will enjoy going on walks with little Sal. If you would like to meet this cutie, please go online to make an appointment today.

Toby is a handsome and quiet 12-pound, two-yearold domestic mediumhaired male kitty. He is so ready for a new home that will give him lots of love and attention. Toby will “meow” for your love and attention. He is a sweet kitty.

If you want to meet Sal or Toby, please visit SFHumaneSociety.org to schedule an appointment. There are also many other animals available for adoption from the Santa Fe Animal Shelter at 100 Caja del Rio Road. The shelter’s adoption hours are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. MondayFriday by appointment only. Join the Santa Fe Animal Shelter online today (April 11) for its 2nd Annual

“New Hope for New Lives, a Virtual Kitten & Puppy Shower.”

The event will stream all day, featuring puppy and kitten programming, foster families’ stories and more, all while raising funds and collecting supplies for the New Hope department. New Hope helps find temporary and long-term homes for homeless animals. It specifically supports newborn kittens and puppies, as 75% of all fosters are vulnerable newborns. Watch “New Hope for New Lives, a Virtual Kitten and Puppy Shower” on the shelter’s Facebook or Instagram pages, or at SFHumaneSociety.org.

Also remember that shelter training classes continue in April. For information about the clases, go to

ESPAÑOLA HUMANE

Meet Zuko! This 2-month-old mini German Shepherd mix is a scrumptious truffle of love. He was left at the shelter completely unsocialized and full of fear, but after weeks of comforting care in foster and a spa week at the shelter’s Puppy Patch at Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort. He is warming up into a kissalicious puddle of cuddles! (Now taking bets on whether or not his ears stand up like his siblings’ did! It could go either way.) Zuko is now available for adoption by appointment at the resort located at 242 Los Pinos Road in La Cienega. Please submit an application on the shelter’s website and someone will reach out to you to schedule a visit!

Walker is a handsomeas-heck 2-year-old, 13-pound tender lovin’ tabby boy. He’s a big squish. Apply to adopt this purring pile of lap cat today. He would love to find a loving family and a place to call home.

For more information and to see photos of adoptable pets in springlike settings, visit the shelter’s social media pages or espanolahumane. org. Adoptions continue to be by appointment only via the website.
