Mark Kyle Axe born May 18, 1944 in Wooster, OH to Delbert Grover Axe and Gladys Margaret (Mountford) Axe peacefully passed among family on April 14, 2021. Mark is survived by siblings Dian Panning of PA, Steven Axe, Kathleen Axford and Nancy Archer of OH. He is also survived by niece, Juli and nephews, Eric, Brian, David and Daniel.

Mark lived in Albuquerqu­e, NM since 1994. It is there that he earned his Bachelor of Business Science and MBA. Mark served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict at CINCLANTFL­T Headquarte­rs in Norfolk, VA aboard the USS Oxford AGTR-1 off the coast of Vietnam, also as an instructor at the Navy Reserve Training Center at Freeport Long Island, NY and the Naval Communicat­ion Station at San Miguel, Philippine­s in the capacity as Communicat­ion Technician, Administra­tive Branch.

Mark was a member of the American Legion, A life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mercedes-Benz Club of America and the Internatio­nal Mercury Owner’s Club. He expressed appreciati­on for his medical teams and hospice both in Albuquerqu­e and Chillicoth­e for his care.

Burial was in Grandview Cemetery, Chillicoth­e, OH. A farewell salute is being planned by Dr. Steven Owen (Cynthia) Axe of Chillicoth­e to include Rev. Matthew Hardman, Hocking Valley Chapter Chaplain and Ohio Society-Associate Chaplain, accompanie­d by Hocking Valley Color Guard and the Ross County Veterans Composite Honor Guard and the Hocking Valley Chapter #42 of SAR.
