-

March 12, 1925 to October 17, 2021

Lynn was born in Marietta, Texas to Marvin and Gertrude Stubbs. She was joined by her sister Dorothy and later her brother Earl. They were a farming family involved in the community and their church. Both of Lynn’s parents sang at their church, and Lynn had a lifelong love of music. She played the piano as well as sang in her church choir at Hoffmantown Baptist Church into her 80’s.

Lynn gave her heart to Jesus as her personal Savior when she was 12. After high school, Lynn graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. She taught music for 5 years before marrying her husband, Blewett Cotton in June 1949. They had two children: Carol and Gary. Shortly after moving to Albuquerque, Blewett passed away. Lynn continued to operate the family business, Cotton Butane Co., until 1995.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and sister Dorothy. She is survived by her brother Earl and his wife Nancy who reside in Richardson, Texas.

Lynn is also survived by her daughter, Carol and husband Greg, and son Gary and wife Cindy. Lynn’s grandchildren are Justin, Allison, Phillip and Stephen and wife Denelle along with great-grandchildren Maria, William, Luke, Tayton, Everett and Ada.

A family graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. Lynn’s Celebration of Life will be held at a later date as determined by the family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a tree planted in Lynn’s honor or a contribution made to the charity of your choice.
