Dolores Ortiz Aragon joined our Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the age of 94. She passed peacefully at home with her family in German town/Colliervil­le,

TN.

Dolores is survived by her six children, Robert Aragon, Philip Aragon & wife Veiga, Denise Aragon Baker & husband Frank, Gina Aragon Jones, Anna Aragon & Mona Aragon; eight grandchild­ren, Robert Aragon II, Sarah Aragon Crabtree, Mathew Aragon, Danielle Baker, Brandon Baker and wife Erin, Jeremy Jones, Jessica Jones, & Joshua Jones; and 5 great grand children. She is also survived by siblings, Rosie Ortiz Yardman, Isabel Ortiz Montoya, Henry Ortiz, Magdelina Ortiz Graham of Santa Fe, NM and many nieces & nephews.

Dolores is preceded in death by her husband Ramon Marcus Aragon, her parents Sinforosa Baros Ortiz, Dionicio Ortiz, Sr, brother Dionicio Ortiz, Jr, & grandson Philip Aragon II. Dolores was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM and graduated from Loretto High School. The Ortiz family lineage has historical roots in New Mexico. Dolores married Ramon Marcus Aragon in 1951, they were married 62 years. They resided in Albuquerqu­e, NM.

Dolores was a devout Catholic and member of Queen of Heaven & Annunciati­on Catholic Churches & attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Germantown. She worked raising their 6 children until they reached school age and then began working & retired from Sandia Laboratori­es. In 1984, her and her husband establishe­d El Ray Vineyards in Bosque, NM where they grew Cayuga White Grapes. She moved to Germantown/ Colliervil­le, TN to live with her daughter Denise & sonin-law Frank in 2013, a year after her husband’s death. Dolores was very outgoing and had the nickname “Sparky”. She never met a stranger and loved Being at social gatherings. She loved crafting, dancing, playing the piano, crosswords, playing mahjong & slot machines. Dolores was a devoted wife and mother and will be forever in our hearts! Funeral services to be announced
