Kimberly Marilyn Conner

-

Kimberly Marilyn Conner, 44, went to Heaven on April 28, 2022 in El Paso, TX. She will always be remembered as an extraordinary young woman with a kind, caring, sweet, and generous personality. Kim was a dedicated mother, daughter, wife, sister, and friend to many. Kim had the incredible knack to put the needs of others before hers and was very fond of cats. She always carried a special place in her heart for people in need.

In 1977, Kim was born in Albuquerque, NM to Jeffrey and Marilyn Mauldin. Jeff earned his business degree and is currently the President of two La-Z-Boy stores in Albuquerque. Marilyn was a licensed practical nurse. Kim graduated from Eldorado High School and then attended New Mexico State University while mothering her toddler son, Weston. One day Kim accidently sat down in a Calculus class in which she met Abe Conner, who ended up as her best friend and love of her life. Upon Abe’s graduation from college, Kim, Abe and Weston started a new adventure in life and moved to Detroit, MI where their youngest son, Andrew Conner was born on February 7, 2001. Kim and Abe were forever joined in marriage on July 28, 2001.

In 2007 Kim and her little family moved to San Antonio, TX. The Conners enjoyed living in San Antonio and making many great friends before another opportunity allowed the family to move even closer back to home in El Paso, TX. With all the moves and change of scenery, Kim always kept a positive attitude and would adapt to her new surroundings.

Kim had a passion for makeup her entire life and always dreamed of being a Cosmetologist. She loved the versatility of it as it was a medium which allowed her to express herself and promote self care. She loved to listen to music and would start dancing at any given moment. She was very exuberant and fun and loved to make funny jokes. Kim was thoughtful and generous and was the epitome of a gentle nurturer to her husband and boys. In this day and age where cell phones dominate our lives Kim always took the time to mail personalized handwritten letters and notes to her loved ones.

Kim was very devoted to keeping a beautiful home with lots of festive holiday decorations no matter how old the boys got. She stressed the importance of making holidays and birthdays very special. Aunt Kimmy was dedicated to her nieces and nephews – Avery, Evan, Gavin, Brooklyn & Mason. She would always spoil the kids with special and unique gifts for each occasion.

Kim was an especially loving sister to siblings Melissa, Eric and Ashley. She always looked forward to family gatherings and loved to ensure everyone in the family was talking to each other. Kim and her father also shared a very special bond and Kim cherished her time with her dad at the Elephant Butte lake house where Kim found the most solace. She loved her family greatly and was the glue that held the family together. Kim is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marilyn Catherine Mauldin who died peacefully on April 21, 2016.

Waiting to once again to be reunited in heaven is her husband Abe along with her two sons Weston and Andrew and remainder of her beloved family. Dear sweet Kim, you are so deeply missed. May your heart and soul rest in peace and know you will forever be loved.
