-

Judith “Judy” Lackner, 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Judy’s family wants to pay particular thanks to Laurel Jarrell and to Christine Orr. They provided immeasurable support and love to Judy and to her daughter. Judy was preceded in death by her eldest son, Andrew. She is survived by her husband Henry Lackner, her two children, Jennifer and Jonathan, as well as seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A longtime resident of Albuquerque, Judy was very involved with her community. She was an active member of the New Mexico Music Guild, the PTA, she was Co-President of the Congregation Albert Sisterhood, and an officer with the League of Women Voters. She was a great patron of the arts, and generously supported the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra and several museums in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe. She loved playing bridge and was a force to be reckoned with.

Judy was very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, enthusiastically supporting them in their schooling and extracurricular activities. She had many friends in the community and will be remembered with love and fondness.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, May 20th, 2022 at 11:00 at Fairview in the Congregation Albert Cemetery. Donations in her memory can be made to NM Philharmonic and Albuquerque Museum of Art. To view information or leave a condolence, please visit
