Theresa Maria Ortiz Hendren, 90, of Santa Fe, NM was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Theresa was at her home surrounded and comforted in love by her husband, Victor M. Hendren D.C. and family as she peacefully passed. Theresa was born to the late Melquiades and Josefita Sena Ortiz in Pecos, NM. Theresa was predecease­d by her parents; mother and fatherin-law Lucy and Benjamin Hendren, brothers; Moises, Ernesto, Melquiades Jr., Jose Arsenio, Pablo and Toby; sisters Esmenia Cordova and Carmen Ornelas; sisters in law Lala Ortiz; brothers in law Frank Cordova, Ivan Hendren, and Richard Hendren. Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Victor M. Hendren, her 6 children, Josie M. Ortiz; Victoria Hendren; Patricia “Maxx” Hendren; Diane Hendren; Rosalyn Marek (Bill) and Elizabeth Gillert; sister Celina Roybal (Noberto); other relatives Larry Ortiz (Mary Ann); and in laws Helen Ortiz, Cecilia Ortiz, Karin Hendren, Pilar Hendren, Carl and Norma Edwards, and Michael and Shirley Hendren. She has 7 grandchild­ren, 11 greatgrand­children, and 4 greatgreat-grandchild­ren.

Theresa was a woman of extraordin­ary strength and exceptiona­l leadership skills. As her husband’s personal and business manager, she is attributed to his successful Chiropract­ic practice. She was married on April 23, 1960 to her loving husband Victor. They were married 62 years and together built Dr. Hendren’s

successful Chiropract­ic business, raised a family, shared many friends, and went on many adventures together. Theresa had a faithful relationsh­ip with Jesus Christ and was devoted to her faith, family, and contributi­ng to the community. She loved God’s word and fed her spirit daily with scripture. She enjoyed being an active church member and organizing volunteers for church functions and fundraiser­s for charity. For many years, Theresa was a mentor in Marriage Enrichment Seminars through Christian Life Fellowship and St. Anthony’s Church in Pecos. She also served as the President of Women’s Aglow Internatio­nal in Santa Fe. She enjoyed missionary work and made many trips to Juarez, Mexico to share God’s Word. Her many relatives, family, many loving friends, and many loved ones will forever cherish her in their hearts and WILL see her again in her new home.

Celebratio­n of life will be held on Friday, June 10th at 9am at Christian Life Fellowship, 121 Siringo Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87505. Procession to follow ~10:15am to National Cemetery for internment at 11am and then family and friends will share a meal at Christian Life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christian Life Fellowship.
