George moved from MI at a young age and lived most of his life in Albuquerque, NM. He met Lucille Roberts in Albuquerque, and they married in October 1951. They were amazing partners, supporting each other in individual and common interests, parenting and serving others in the church. They celebrated 69 years of marriage before Lucille passed away in February 2021.

He is survived by two daughters, Tracee Saul (Douglas) of Clovis, NM and Kelly Roberts of Albuquerque, NM. Grandchildren Amber King (Henry) of Albuquerque and Tyler Dolberry of Stephenville, TX. Beloved great-grandchildren are Kassidee, Kamden, and Kolten King. Grandson, Jared Roberts, passed away in August 2001. George was Uncle to many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

George served with the NM Air National Guard for 35 + years. He was active duty for the Korean and Vietnam Wars. George enjoyed his job as aircraft m echanic/technician and earned honors and awards in his time with the NM Air National Guard. He rode his bicycle to/from the base for many years. He retired in 1985.

George loved Jesus and lived to please God in his words and deeds, giving thanks to God. He showed love to others by his words and his actions. He read his Bible in the early hours before his family woke up and he left for work. He served at Grace Church, Fellowship Bible Church, Montgomery Heights Church of the Nazarene, Vietnam base chapel and

Albuquerque Rescue Mission with his Dad, E.P. Roberts. He served in roles with the choirs, youth, young adults, Awana, deacons and elders and much more. He played the piano and sang in church, at home, at family gatherings, and with the Young at Heart Choir for 12 + years. He had lifelong friendships with several missionaries around the world. He led his family in the way of the Lord. We have fond memories growing up of him praying with us every night before bed.

He enjoyed working on cars, DIY home projects, building a playhouse for his girls, making various home décor and center table settings that Lucille designed. He enjoyed playing games with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He supported them in many activities. He loved a good conversation with friends and family about God, airplanes, cars and many more subjects.

George was a special man to all who knew him. We will miss him dearly. We are thankful he believed in Jesus Christ. We know he is rejoicing in Heaven, and we can see him again someday.
