Of all of his interests and hobbies, it was the study of the celestial universe, stargazing with fellow astronomers, and astral photography that continually engaged him from his childhood to his very last days.

But above all, Joseph’s greatest accomplishment and source of pride was as a father, raising his three children, Larisa, Paul and Joseph II, seeing them go on to lead their own fulfilling lives and in the case of Paul and Joseph II, giving him his beloved grandchildren Having lost his own father as a young child, Joseph put his heart and soul into being the best father that he knew how to be. He loved sharing his passion for science and lifelong learning with his children, but especially watching the in quisitiveness and growth of his grandchildren.
