Nancy Lila Davis (Blumenshine) nee Huffman, age

96, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2023, in hospice care in Phoenix Arizona. Lila left this world on July 11, 2023 at the age of 96, with a heart full of love for animals and a passion for birds. Lila was a lifetime resident of New Mexico, born on January 2, 1927, to Laurence Huffman and Estella (nee Stubbs) Huffman. Lila grew up in the North Valley of Albuquerque with her parents and her younger sister Betty. Later, Lila met and married Clarence Paul Blumenshine in the early 1940’s. Blumenshine owned and operated dairies in the North and South valleys of Albuquerque and together they had three beautiful daughters. On these dairies Lila bred Samoyed puppies and from there on had an immense love for dogs. In addition to raising Samoyed puppies, Lila worked for many grocers in both Albuquerque and Elephant Butte, New Mexico. Lila moved to Elephant Butte Lake later in life, where she retired. That is when she became an avid bird watc her... and feeder! Lila is preceded in death by her parents Laurence and Estella, her sister Betty

Gunn, and two daughters Janice Canham and Terry Hollyfield. Lila is survived by her youngest daughter Karen Blumenshine; her grandchildren Kerrie Bohler (Walter), Frank Cissne (Debbie), Tracie Clevenger, Stephanie Miaris, Lorrinda Allan, Stacie Wilder and Matthew Canham (Connie); 12 greatgrandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. As we say our farewells, let us remember Lila’s kind heart, her laughter, and the way she touched the lives of both humans and animals alike. May her spirit continue to bring joy and laughter to all those she left behind. Rest in peace, dear Lila, as you reunite with your loved ones, both human and furry, in a place where love and laughter never cease.
