Jo Anne Ransdell Schuster, age 88, loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r, and great grandmothe­r passed away in her sleep on December 24, 2023. Jo Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Schuster; her parents, William and Grace Ransdell; and sisters, Sue Malone and Nancy Monfiletto. She is survived by her daughters, Pam and husband, Gary Kissock, Sharon and husband, Aaron Millemon, and Susan and husband, Luke Gilpin. She is also survived by her grandchild­ren, Stephen Kissock (Amanda Ward), Laura Kissock (Lisa Collins), Ashley Gloss (John Gloss), Kyle Millemon (James Dawkins), Jodie Podust (Alex Podust), and Seth Gilpin (Janae Gonzales); she also enjoyed her four great-grandchild­ren, Arden Ward, Luka Podust, Declan Gloss, and Leni Podust. She is also survived by one sister, Sally O’Hearne.

Jo Anne was born in Jacksonvil­le, Illinois, and raised on a farm outside of Franklin, Illinois. She and

Carl moved to Albuquerqu­e in 1956 when Carl accepted a job at Sandia National Laboratori­es. They grew to enjoy the Southwest, had many adventures with their 3 girls and created many wonderful memories.

A reception and gathering of friends will be held on January 20, 2024, at 10 AM at FRENCH-Wyoming. Per her request, cremation has taken place. Jo Anne and Carl will be laid to rest in the Vista Memory Garden cemetery in Truth or Consequenc­es, NM, close by their cabin in Elephant Butte.
