On March 17th 2024, William (Bill) Albert Busick of Albuquerqu­e, NM, at age 82, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father. He was a Godly man, who had a powerful relationsh­ip with

Our Lord. Each morning he read his devotional and bible which nurtured his spirit. Bill lived his life following the Golden Rule.

Bill had many amazing accomplish­ments throughout his life. He served the United States Air National Guard during the Vietnam War where he was activated to Korea and Japan as a Para Rescue. He received an Honorable Discharge as a Master Sergeant.

Bill had an impactful career with the Albuquerqu­e Fire Department as a fireman and paramedic. As a paramedic, he was so highly respected, he was always called upon to ride the ambulance detail when President’s and other dignitarie­s were in town. He served as an instructor for decades at UNM EMS Academy and later at CNM. He trained many Paramedics and EMT’s who continue to provide Emergency Medical Services throughout New Mexico. He is often referred to as “a Legend” in the EMS field. He also worked on ski patrol at several New Mexico Ski Resorts and for Med Bow where he served for over 22 years providing paramedic services for rodeo and horse events. He also served on several DMAT Team Deployment­s to include the first DMAT Team deployment by the Federal Government where they provided emergency medical services for the St Croix Hurricane victims in makeshift hospitals made out of military tents that were located in the parking lots of hospitals that had been destroyed.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, George and Rosina Busick.

Cordova, Sister, Bonnie Shiflett, Sister in Law, Judy CordovaRom­ero( Lauren) Brother in Law’s, Phillip Cordova, Jerome Cordova (Susan) nieces, Julia Free ( Grady ), Sheri Coombs (Guy), Lori Haupt (Chuck); Lauren Cordova; Olivia Cordova and nephews, John West, Thomas Cordova, Tristan Cordova and many dearly loved great nieces and nephews and many, many life-long friends.

Bill was a kind and loving gentleman that left a lasting impression to all he came into contact with him. In his lifetime, through his gentle demeanor, he was many things to so many people, he had a heart of gold and truly enjoyed life. He was an avid golfer, roper, ranch sorter, fly fisherman, water skier, snow skier and flat track motorcycle racer. He loved watching rodeo and bull riding events. Most importantl­y, he was a true Gentleman with a kind spirit who lived a life of service.

His Celebratio­n of Life will be held on April 02, 2024, with visitation starting at 9 am followed by the Celebratio­n of Life at 10 am and reception. All services to be held at the New Beginnings

Church at 4770 Montgomery Blvd. NE; Albuquerqu­e, NM. His final interment will be carried out at the Santa Fe National Cemetery scheduled on April 02, 2024 at 2:30 pm.

Honorary pallbearer­s are: Sarah Silva, Kathy Kaestner; Eric Rasmussen; Larry Cobb; Mike Suber; Lorraine and Andy Griner; and Candy and Ray De Fraedy; Sammy Trujillo; Roy Winchester; Marti Montoya and Mike Cleland.
