Electric Playhouse pushes boundaries with its immersive experiences. The Albuquerque-based entertainment company’s latest immersive experience is “Tour of Chocolate.”

The event consists of a finedining meal infused with gourmet chocolate.

“Our executive chef has experimented with chocolate to create a five-course dinner that will delight your senses,” says Brandon Garrett, Electric Playhouse founder. “This experience introduces you to various ways chocolate can be used in savory dishes.”

“Tour of Chocolate” takes place at 6 p.m. Friday, March 29; 5 p.m. Saturday, March 30; and 6 p.m. April 5.

Garrett says “Tour of Chocolate” is a limited run that coincides with the Southwest Chocolate and Coffee Festival, which takes place April 6-7.

“We thought it would make a great combination of showing people how to incorporate chocolate into a dining experience,” Garrett says.

Garrett says “A Tour of Chocolate” ticket will get visitors admission the coffee fest.

The first course is Bacon-Wrapped Dates, which consists of dates, dark chocolate, goat cheese, applewood bacon with a pomegranate demi-glace.

The second course is Monte Cristo, which is Black Forest ham, Gruyere, brioche, buttered-egg batter, raspberry chipotle jam, white chocolate and vanilla bean anglaise sauce.

The third course is Strawberry Caprese Salad, which is arugula blend, strawberries, candies walnuts, basil and mozzarella with a dark chocolate-balsamic vinaigrette.

For the fourth course, there is a choice between two dishes.

You can pick between Korean Sticky-Coffee Short Ribs or Sticky-Coffee Korean Style Tofu, and both are served with pickled onions and white chocolate pomme puree.

The final course is Tiramisu, which is coffee and rum soaked lady fingers layered with sabayon and mascarpone filling, finished with vanilla bean crème anglaise and cocoa powder, served with a scoop of Belgium dark chocolate gelato.

The Tiramisu is made by Albuquerque-based Baked by Christiana.
