Parklane Gallery has been a vibrant member of the Seattle area art scene since 1991. Located in the heart of the picturesque community of Kirkland, Washington, directly across Lake Washington from Seattle, this artistowned gallery features the work of 40 Northwest artists. Parklane focuses on providing a diversity of fine art from emerging and well-established artists that includes paintings, photography, digital art, sculpture, glass art and artisan jewelry. Within its lightfilled walls visitors will find distinctive and imaginative artwork that includes both contemporary and traditional creations.
Parklane takes great pride in being known as shopperfriendly. Gallery members, who all work in the gallery, are knowledgeable, informative and helpful to first-time visitors as well as those who regularly drop in as they enjoy the charm of this lakefront community. Parklane joins with the community to participate in both the year-round second Friday art walks and regularly scheduled wine walks.
In addition to the works of its gallery members, which are always on display, Parklane sponsors three open juried exhibits throughout the year featuring the compositions of non-gallery artists, highlighted by its nationally well-known and respected International Miniature Show, which recently celebrated its 26th anniversary during the month of May. In September, Parklane is hosting All Creatures Great and Small,a show that includes paintings and photography featuring creatures of all sizes, both obvious as well as wellhidden, such as birds, bunnies and butterflies peeking out of a landscape. expressive brushstrokes.
Most of her work is landscape in plein air or derived from plein air studies. She studied art throughout school and college; at the School of Drawing and Painting, Institute for American Universities, Aix-en-Provence, France; at Gage Academy of Art, Seattle; and with numerous master oil painters from the U.S. and elsewhere.
She shows her work in galleries and other venues, in juried exhibits and has had a number of solo shows. Wells-Moran has won honors from both international and local competitions, and she enjoys teaching all ages. She paints in both the Pacific Northwest and Baja Sur, Mexico. Her current shows are listed on her website and she enjoys visitors to her studio in Shoreline, Washington, by appointment.
