Opening November 28, Epic Abstractio­n: Pollock to Herrera at the Met Breuer explores large-scale abstract painting, sculpture and assemblage beginning in the 1940s and continuing on through the 21st century. Masterpiec­es from icons of Abstract Expression­ism like Jackson Pollock and Louise Nevelson will be shown in conversati­on with lesser known works from internatio­nal artist, such as the Hungarian artist Ilona Keseru. a gallery of works by the next generation of artists, including Ellsworth Kelly and Frank Stella, will also be on view.
