29. In­cluded in the sale will be a group of Tif­fany Stu­dios lamps with their vivid stained­glass shades.there also will be a num­ber of note­wor­thy paint­ings in the sale, in­clud­ing Sam Fran­cis’ mixed me­dia work SFT-735 (Toyko Series), which has an es­ti­mate of $40,000 to $60,000.

New York City in the win­ter by Guy Car­leton Wig­gins is also of in­ter­est.the piece, dis­play­ing the artist’s typ­i­cal sub­ject mat­ter in his im­pres­sion­is­tic style, is ti­tled Win­ter at the Plaza and is ex­pected to sell be­tween $20,000 and $40,000.Wil­liam Lang­son Lathrop’s Oc­to­ber Evening (es.t $20/40,000), de­pict­ing a vivid sun­set, also is es­ti­mated at $20,000 to $40,000. The Lathrop was awarded the Tem­ple Gold Medal at the Penn­syl­va­nia Academy of the Fine Arts in 1922.
