professionals computer animator and visual effects artist since 1994 with more than 70 features, shorts, music videos, trailer, and commercials to his credit. Pete Michels started on The Simpsons in 1990 and began as a director on the show a few years later. He went on to work on Family Guy and is currently supervising director on Rick and Morty. Juli Murphy has been an animation professional for 25 years and is currently a timing director on Sanjay and Craig at Nickelodeon. Lyndon Ruddy has worked in multiple roles in animation for TV and features at studios ranging from Nelvana and Lucasfilm to Disney, Blue Sky, Warner Bros. and Wildbrain. He is currently a story and development artist at Paramount Animation. Hock Wong is a previs and postvis artist at Halon Entertainment with more than 15 years experience as a layout artist at studios including Light Chaser Animation, Sony Pictures Animation and DreamWorks Animation. Jose Zelaya has worked as a senior character designer and visual development artist at Disney on shows such as Phineas and Ferb and Jake and the Never Land Pirates and is currently working on Lion Guard.
Confirmed guests include Hartman, creator of The OddParents; David Silverman, Simpsons director; James Lopez, creator of Hullabaloo; Robert Hughes, director and producer on Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy’s Law; Tony Bancroft, director of Animal Crackers; and Zahara Dowlatabadi, producer and co-author of the book Producing Animation.
There also will be a judges’ panel, daily professional portfolio reviews and filmmaker Tee Bosustow will be on hand to discuss his documentary on the famous UPA studio, The Boing Heard Around the World.
