Hiker finds skeletal remains in Lake LA
A hiker made a gruesome discovery on Monday, near the area of 230th East and East Ave, P-3, in Lake Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are investigating the skeletal remains that were discovered at approximately 6:35 p.m.
Because of darkness, the scene was secured by deputies from Lancaster Station. On Tuesday morning, the Homicide detectives, along with investigators from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner responded to the scene.
Homicide investigators searched the scene and surrounding area and discovered the human remains of an additional victim.
The identity and cause of death of both victims is unknown at this time and will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
