The Amargosa Creek Middle School library was named in her honor.

Her husband Duane, currently serves as vice president on the Lancaster School District Board of Education.

Both of their daughters are school teachers.

Winn also serves as a founding Board member of the LA County Air Show. She was appointed by the governor to serve on the 50th District Agricultural Association Board of Directors.
