Belittling American heroes
Most people with half a brain would know it is not wise and in bad taste to bad mouth a retired lieutenant colonel who is a wounded warrior who lost both legs while co-piloting a helicopter during the Iraq War.
However, it seems that President Bone Spurs the draft dodger knows no shame when questioning the patriotism of Senator Tammy Duckworth who is a U.S. Army Purple Heart recipient. This vindictive commander in chief is now setting a new, disgraceful precedent for dishonoring the office of the presidency with his rants and childish tweets.
I am not sure who is more a moron, Tucker Carlson of Fox News or the Donald Trump. It was a very sad day when Tucker Carlson claimed Senator Tammy Duckworth actually despises the United States of America when shamelessly called Duckworth a “coward,” a “fraud,” and a “callous hack,” among other things during his reprehensible monologue.
It seems to me that the president and Tucker are the real cowards since neither served, and yes conservatives, I served honorably and proudly during the Viet Nam Era in Great Britain.
In 1966, Trump’s pre-military medical examination deemed him fit for military service. In July 1968, the draft-board again found him eligible for military service. However, in October 1968 he was given a medical deferment and reclassified as 1-Y (unqualified for duty except in the case of a national emergency). Overall President Trump received five deferments during the height of the Vietnam War. Four were for education, while the fifth was a medical waiver for bone spurs in his feet.
This belittling of American heroes is not new for President Trump he has a history of it. Remember in 2015, he notoriously attacked the late Senator John McCain for his service, saying; “I like people who weren’t captured.” George Jung Antelope Acres
