MICHAEL, Joshua L.

-

of Newport Center Vt. passed away on May 22, 2021 at his mother’s house in Lowell, Vt., due to an apparent sudden cardiac arrest. His mother, brother, Missisquoi Valley Ambulance Service and the Lowell Fire Department tried everything to save him, but were unable to revive him.

He was born on October 30, 1981 in Lancaster Calif. On September 9, 2004 he married the love of his life Carissa (Manes) Michael in Las Vegas, Nev. Josh loved God first and foremost. He loved being in the Lord’s word and had a passion for leading others to Christ. He was a proud member of the Lowell Bible Church in Lowell Vt.

He loved his family with all his heart. He was proud of his sons and daughter and toward the end of his life he and Carissa were certified foster parents. He would have done anything for his family. He enjoyed visiting his mom and brother. They would talk about everything, especially the Lord. They also enjoyed flying drones together.

Josh worked in EMS for the last five years as an Advanced EMT and was a volunteer firefighter with Lowell & Newport Center Fire Departments. He was also in the process of getting his bachelor's degree and had just been accepted to UVM for Pre-Law as well as Luther Rice Seminary School to pursue his passion of Ministry, which was the path he was going to continue on. He had recently also looked at getting his pilots license again. He had one at the age of 17.

He enjoyed going for rides on his motorcycle and taking his wife and kids on adventures. They enjoyed camping, going to the lake, fishing, reading, frisbee, playing catch; really anything that got everyone outside.

Joshua was a great man, husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He touched so many lives with his big heart. He will be deeply missed and always loved. He was a good Padre and Josh E. Bear.
