Animal ID No.: A5489413 Animal name: Lilly

-

Lilly is a two-year-old, altered, female, black Siberian Husky that came in to the Palmdale Animal Care Center as a stray. Lilly, a friendly, mellow girl, was nervous but friendly when she was being seen by medical staff and quickly warmed up to them. During her play yard time, she was happy to go with her handler to the play yard and meet other dogs. She has shown a gentle and dainty play style, and is very social with other dogs and non-reactive with dogs and people. The runner presented his hand to the gate, and she approached and began to lick his hand. She stood on her hind legs and began to paw at the gate. The runner opened the gate and was able to easily leash her. She exited the kennel and walked ahead of the runner with no pull on the leash. When she arrived to the pen, she confidently approached the fence and began to press her body against it, allowing multiple dogs to sniff her.

She turned toward the fence and exchanged soft greetings. When she was allowed into the pen, she was approached by two male Shepherds. She tolerated them sniffing her body, while she sniffed back. She then turned away and approached a male Shepherd. She began to sniff and lick his muzzle. She play bowed at his feet, enticing play. He accepted the invitation and they engaged in a game of chase for a few minutes. Lilly is recommended to a home with children middle school-aged and higher. She did well with large dogs.
