“Joe VW” already missed

-

Antelope Valley Volkswagen unfortunately suffered the loss of a great man. Joe Clunich, a.k.a “Joe VW”, passed away on January 13 2023. He was more than an employee at the dealership, he was a huge part of the our VW family. Joe started with us in 2011 as a salesman. He learned all of the ins and outs of the VW brand. Discovering he had such an animated personality, he was given a chance to share it with others when he became the Internet Manager. Enthusiastically making videos for Facebook and Instagram was a passion. He loved reaching out to everyone making us smile and laugh. This is when he became “Joe VW “and wore the VW grill ornament around his neck with such pride. And don’t forget about “Mini Joe”, his little partner. We all looked forward to his next post wondering what’s he going to do next. Advancing to Finance Manager and then Sales Manager, Joe wore many hats and did it well. This also gave him a chance to spend more time with each customer and getting to know them better. He loved meeting people. And yes, he had many stories to share with everyone. Joe loved his customers and his family at Volkswagen. As we all loved him dearly too. Anyone who knew Joe would say Volkswagen ran through his blood, heart and soul. In December of 2022 Joe was excited about his new role as General Sales Manager, the perfect person for the job. Outside of the job, Joe Clunich treasured spending time with his family, he was a Mr. Fix It All, played soccer, and reading anything he could get his hands on. What an amazing man that left us all a better person for knowing him. The energy, love, friendship, support, and loyalty he gave us will stay with us forever. We miss Joe already and will never forget what he has given us. While our hearts are broken from the loss we are grateful for the huge mark he left on our hearts. We say goodbye to you Joe with love and thanks.
