Governor’s appointments
Gov. Mike Beebe announced the following appointments to boards and commissions Wednesday:
William Cains, Sr., Altus, to the Arkansas Geological Commission for a term expiring January 14, 2020, replacing Keith DuPriest.
Alex Finger, Little Rock, to the Crime Victims Reparations Board for a term expiring Oct. 5, replacing Redious Yancy.
Terry Fuller, Poplar Grove, reappointed to the Arkansas Seed Arbitration Committee for a term expiring March 1, 2017.
Joyce Gibson, Prescott, reappointed to the Black History Commission for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2020.
Sloan Hampton, Stuttgart, reappointed to the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2020.
Brown Hardman, Arkadelphia, to the Henderson State University board of trustees for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2020, replacing Johnny Hudson.
Sheriff Charles “Doc” Holladay, Little Rock, to the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2014, replacing Danny Russell.
Michael Loos, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling for a term expiring Dec. 1, 2015, replacing Dr. John Carmack.
Jim Luker, Wynne, as the Health Services Permit director. Appointee serves at the will of the governor, replacing Deborah Frazier.
Herman “Billy” Maddox III, Jonesboro, to the Arkansas Seed Arbitration Committee for a term expiring March 1, 2017, replacing Jim Craig.
Monica Pratt, Pocahontas, to the Governor’s Developmental Disabilities Council for a term expiring June 30, 2017, replacing Frederick Reinheardt.
Kevin Reeder, Little Rock, to the Arkansas Psychology Board for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2017, replacing Dr. Jeramie Harbin.
Bill Reid, Conway, to the Arkansas Manufactured Home Commission for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2017, replacing Greg Sanson.
Artha Sasser, Lewisville, as Lafayette County constable, Steele Township, for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2014, replacing Henry Fletcher.
Allen Trammell, Alexander, to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2015, replacing Karen Crowson.
Douglas Watson, Roland, reappointed to the Arkansas School for the Blind and Arkansas School for the Deaf board of trustees for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2018.
Jim Wilcox, Waldron, to the Scott County Quorum Court for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2014, replacing Caleb Free.
William “Daniel” York, Ashdown, reappointed to the Red River Commission for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2020.
To the Arkansas State Medical Board for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2018: Bob Cogburn, M.D., Flippin, reappointment; Veryl Hodges, O.D., Jonesboro, reappointment; John Scribner, M.D., Ash Flat, replacing Trent Pierce; John Weiss, M.D., Fayetteville, reappointment.
