MESA, Ariz. — John Wayne Sullivan, 79, of Mesa, Ariz., died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013. Born in Earle, Ark., on May 21, 1934, a son of the late John Riley and Amanda Jean Franks Sullivan.

Survivors: wife, Margaret Sullivan; children, Susan Ellis, Brenda Hernandez, Sandy Sullivan, Sherry Terrigeno, Charles Swanson, Alan Dawson and Ray Dawson; siblings, Marie Crawford, Ruby Easley, Ann Beck, Fern Mize, Shirley Hampton and Jackie Sullivan; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

SAN DIEGO — Bobby Ray Brown, 70, of San Diego, Calif., died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Brown, Verda Mae Brown; sister, Donna Brown Washington; and brother, Julian Watts. Survivors include his children, Billy Brown of Orlando, Fla., Bobby Brown and Donna Brown of San Diego, Calif., Braxton Brown of Sacramento, Calif., and Isaac Brown of Illinois; two brothers, Sam Watts III (Shirley) of Los Angeles, Danny Brown (Laverne) of San Diego, Calif.; and three sisters, Toni Cunningham of Richton Park, Ill., Eva Whitaker of Decatur, Ga., and Nadean Brown Altheimer of Little Rock, Ark.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Choice Harvest Church, 760 W. Palm Ave., El Cajon, Calif. 92020. Interment followed with honors at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, Calif. OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Marguerite Jones, 87, of Overland Park, Kan., formerly of Lakeview, Ark., died Friday. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel.
