Sara Denise Robertson, who goes by Deni, and Dustin Wade Pitonyak were united in marriage at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in the Junior League of Little Rock Building. The Rev. Blake Bradford of St. James United Methodist Church officiated.
Parents of the bride are Sarajane and Dennis Robertson, 5523 Hawthorne Road. She is the granddaughter of Annette and Dr. Pat Phillips of Fort Smith and the late Norma and Mayo Robertson Jr. of Bella Vista.
Bridget and Eddie Pitonyak, 7 Edswood Court, are the parents of the groom. His grandparents are Anna and Kent Shreeve of Little Rock, Jo Ann and the late Tommy Pitonyak of Slovak and Nell and the late Oral Waddell of Vilonia.
The banquet room, where vows were exchanged, was decorated with 6-foot Gothic candelabras centered with arrangements of roses, orchids, sunflowers, mango calla lilies and pheasant feathers. Music was by the Little Rock String Quartet and soloist Carol Isom.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless ivory Vera Wang gown of taffeta with an asymmetrically draped bodice, full tulle skirt and cathedral-length train. She carried a clutch of mango calla lilies, orange cockscomb, red berries and sunflowers.
The bride’s honor attendants were Randle Robertson, sister of the bride, and Mollie Sellers, both of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Allison Robertson and Lindsay Rucker, both of Little Rock; Shanna Fallis of Hot Springs; Shawntae Reed of North Little Rock; and Savannah Witmer of Wakarusa, Ind. They wore Vera Wang column gowns of black matte crepe and carried red bouquets of fall flowers.
Joseph Foster of Santa Cruz, Calif., was best man. Groomsmen were John Morris, Birc Morledge, Patrick Murray and David Robertson, brother of the bride, all of Little Rock; Jon Thorn of Fayetteville; and Dr. Eddie St. Amour of New York. Guests were seated by Chris Britt of Denver and Rodney Connelley of Little Rock.
A reception in the ballroom followed the ceremony. Tables were covered in black-and-white linens and held a variety of centerpieces, including elevated cylinder arrangements of wedding flowers and Gothic wrought iron candelabra. Assisting were Lizzy Sullivan and Hope Layton, both of Little Rock.
The bride attended Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, where she was a member of Chi Omega. She is pursuing a degree in speech communications from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a nurse at Little Rock Family Practice.
The groom graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He was a member of Kappa Sigma. He has a master’s degree in business administration from UALR, and is vice president of Pitonyak Machinery Corp.
The couple will reside in Little Rock after a honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica.
