MARILYN MICHELLE MILLER LARRY JAY NICHOLS

Marilyn Michelle Miller and Larry Jay Nichols were married at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in St. James United Methodist Church. The Rev. Siegfried Johnson officiated.

Parents of the bride are Marilyn Dickinson Miller and William Michael Miller, both of Little Rock. She is the granddaugh­ter of Carlice and Walter M. Dickinson, also of Little Rock, and the late Lorene and B.O. Miller of Brinkley.

The groom is the son of Brenda and Roger Nichols of Sherwood. He is the grandson of the late Clara and James Nichols of North Little Rock and the late Estelle Vernon Simpson of Sherwood.

The chancel held a towering arrangemen­t of white larkspur, ivory roses, white lilies and white curly willow branches. Music was by organist Robert Lindley and soloist Gates Smith, cousin of the bride.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore an A-line chiffon gown with a sweetheart neckline embellishe­d with Alencon lace, pearls and crystals. She carried a bouquet of red roses, berries and orchids.

Matron of honor was Laura Miller Geurin of Little Rock, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid­s were Mary Dickinson, cousin of the bride, and Natalie Morrison and Carla Cheek, all of Fayettevil­le; Allison Davis of Dallas; and Katherine Crow, Kim Flenniken and Sheffield Duke, all of Little Rock.

They wore black chiffon A-line gowns with strapless sweetheart necklines and carried bouquets of hydrangeas, freesia, stock and roses. The fireplace mantel held a low cascading arrangemen­t of wedding flowers.

Serving as his brother’s best man was Matt Nichols of Sherwood. Groomsmen were James Nichols of Memphis, cousin of the groom; Jason Sims and Brandon Sims, both of Jacksonvil­le; and Spencer Weideman, Ben Coulter, Gates Smith and Scott Geurin, all of Little Rock.

Guests were seated by Walt Dickinson III, Will Dickinson and Matt Barger, all of Little Rock and cousins of the bride.

Guest tables at a reception at Pleasant Valley Country Club were each centered with a trio of stemmed glass candle holders with two holding pillar candles and one with an arrangemen­t of roses, freesia and lisianthus. Music was by the Ryan Couron band. Assisting was Krystal Harris.

The bride is a graduate of the Sam Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le. She received a bachelor’s degree in finance and was a member of Chi Omega. She is a junior officer and assistant branch manager for Onebanc.

The groom is an HVAC specialist for Mayhew’s Mechanical.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will live in Little Rock.
