Wedding vows were exchanged by Emily Allison Leathers and William Andrew Gruber at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in Christ Episcopal Church. The Rev. Ray Brown of St. Nicholas’ Episcopal Church in Maumelle officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Dolores and Timothy Leathers of Maumelle. She is the granddaugh­ter of James and the late Dessie Leathers of Little Rock and the late Doris and Norman Shirley of Bauxite.

Parents of the groom are Judges Rita and Wayne Gruber of North Little Rock. He is the grandson of the late Ruth B. Gruber of Tenafly, N.J., the late Ingram Dudley Gruber of Englewood, N.J., and the late Patsy and Newt Williamson of Jacksonvil­le.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of Alencon lace over light gold satin. The fitted bodice had a Queen Anne neckline and lace cap sleeves, and the slim skirt extended to a chapel train edged with scallops of lace. She carried a bouquet of garden roses, hydrangeas, freesia, orchids and stock in shades of ivory and white.

Bridesmaid­s were Lori Brush of North Little Rock, Katy Julian of Little Rock and Melanie Claassen of New York. They wore navy chiffon strapless gowns with a sweetheart neckline and carried rounded bouquets of orange garden roses.

Groomsmen were Todd Brinkley of Fayettevil­le, Dr. Jonathan Ratcliff of Tampa, Fla., and Brandon Robinson of Little Rock. Guests were seated by Hunter Riley of North Little Rock.

A reception at Pavilion in the Park followed the ceremony. The buffet held varied containers of different heights, each holding arrangemen­ts of a different flower, including dahlias, hydrangeas and garden roses in shades of orange and white. Guest tables were decorated with a mix of dahlias, roses, hydrangeas and seasonal accents of berries and foliage. Music was by Dennis Farmer, followed by a disc jockey.

The bride graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administra­tion from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. She is an assistant chief clerk/assistant fiscal officer for the Arkansas House of Representa­tives.

The groom has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le and a juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law. He is a deputy prosecutin­g attorney for the Sixth Judicial District of Arkansas.

After a wedding trip to Seagrove Beach, Fla., the couple will reside in North Little Rock.
