Equipment company is a cut above the competition

Sherwood Tractor is a full-service agricultural equipment dealer with locations in Rose Bud and Atkins.

The business has been open for seven years and recently expanded to the Atkins location.

Sherwood Tractor offers new tractors from Mahindra and TYM. Mahindra, the No. 1-selling tractor in the world, offers versatile and rugged options for a variety of use around the farm or job site.

“We love the retail equipment business,” said Bart Sherwood, owner. “We love meeting the needs of the hobby farmer, as well as those who use our equipment to make their living.”

In addition to tractors, Sherwood Tractor also carries lawn equipment from Bad Boy mowers. Built in Batesville, these mowers come in a range of options, from fixed-wheel push mowers for simple lawns to the Outlaw series mowers, which is designed for the commercial market. Sherwood Tractor also offers hay equipment by Claas and lawn care equipment from Stihl and Husqvarna.

When it comes to farm work, having the right tool for the job is important, and members of the sales staff at Sherwood Tractor understand what it takes to get the job done.

“It’s important that we make sure we do a good job meeting our customers’ needs, and not just selling them something,” said Todd Adair, general manager. “We want them to feel like they got a great product and they were treated well.”

After the sale, customers can also count on Sherwood Tractor’s parts and service departments to keep their equipment in tip-top shape.
