Vibrant boutique offers home conversation pieces

With experience in retail and a love for decorating, opening Statements Whimsical Gifts & Decor in downtown Conway was a perfect fit for the store’s owner, Allison Reed.

“When the time came to decide what I wanted to do full time, I decided to merge my love for decorating and being around people and here we are,” Reed said.

Statements, which opened its doors in August, carries unique home accessories and gifts to fit every style and every budget.

Whether making a purchase for yourself or someone else, Statements offers a wide range of accessories, from greeting cards to custom bedding. Reed said her store offers everyone the opportunity to add whimsy, color and conversation pieces to their homes.

“You can come by and get a teacher’s gift, or I can help you redo your entire house,” she said. “Either way, I love talking to people and finding out how I can help them bring a little whimsy into their life.”

Reed said she chose Statements for the name of her store because making statements is simply how she decorates.

“Find one thing that you can’t get your mind off of, and make that your statement piece,” she said. “Everything else can come from discount stores and things you already have, but if you have one or two fabulous things in a room, everything else becomes a background piece.”
