WARP AND WOOF

Store is source of quality fabric to fit any style

-

A degree in textiles, along with extensive experience in merchandising, indicates one thing — Renee Hudson knows fabrics.

After more than three decades of working as a visual merchandise manager for a department store, Hudson decided to set out on her own and open a fabric store. She and her husband, Jim, purchased the contents of a Sherwood fabric store at auction and transported the fixtures and products to the former Newberry Auto Parts Store on Oak Street in downtown Conway — and Warp and Woof was born.

Hudson and her associates team expertise with a wide variety of fabrics, making Warp and Woof the area’s go-to place for customers wanting to update upholstery, window treatments, accent cushions, bedding and more.

A passion for sewing and fabrics, as well as for original design, is evident at Warp and Woof, which has three rooms filled with quality fabrics. New shipments arrive weekly, so customers are assured of discovering new treasures each time they visit. The shop offers a wide range of fabrics to fit any style and budget, with prices starting at about $10 per yard. Hudson will also special-order materials upon request.

Warp and Woof customers include private individuals with smaller purchases, designers who are shopping for their clients, and professional upholsterers.

The entire staff at Warp and Woof takes pride in the fabrics they offer, which appear in various homes and businesses throughout the area, including bedand-breakfast inns, university offices, ballrooms and more

Warp and Woof is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
