Family-owned business focuses on customer service

Bates Furniture has been establishe­d in the Conway community for more than 30 years.

The family-owned and - operated bus ines s has been on the same downtown street providing the same quality customer service since Harrell and Vivian Bates founded the store in 1978.

At Bates Furniture, customers will find a wide assortment of furniture to suit any room in the house.

The store offers a variety of mattresses, recliners, sofas, chairs, dining sets and home-theater seating, as well as TV consoles for a variety of television sizes.

“We offer quality new furniture at reasonable prices,” said Cindy Bates, the couple’s daughter and store manager.

The 12,500-square-foot showroom at Bates Furniture includes more than 20 name-brand furniture lines, including Dreamline Bedding, Southern Motion, Best Chairs, Riverside Furniture and American Furniture, among others.

If the store doesn’t have a particular piece on site, one of the sales associates will be happy to request it from the manufactur­er.

Cindy and her brothers, Terry and Roger, continue to uphold the family tradition set forth by their parents by offering quality to uphold the family tradition set forth by their parents by offering quality customer service.

“We strive to make the customer’s buying experience a good one,” she said. “We work to make sure shopping in our store is an easy, no-pressure experience.”

The Bates Furniture showroom is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
