Respect to be earned

-

I was extremely happy to read a letter from Janice Chaparro, who was very critical of my letter concerning how I feel about President Barack Obama and his administration.

She is correct in saying I don’t respect him. Respect is earned, not given to a person just because he was elected to office. A person who will lie to you cannot be trusted. She doesn’t even want to dream of how I really feel about him and his politically appointed “yes” people. Being uninformed is a sure sign of being ignorant about any subject.

I think President Obama has not shown any leadership, believing he is always right, and if you don’t agree, you’re wrong. People who voted for him only because he is almost black indicate to me they have an IQ about half their hat size. Others who believe the government should support them and their kids who will never know their fathers, plus millions who won’t work—I suggest you live it up while there is still time.

I have earned the right to state my opinion about dishonest government officials, elected or appointed, who want to destroy the Constitution.

Being a real American citizen is the greatest thing in the world, so stand up for what is right. GRANT GATLIFF
