Not a right to be evil

-

In the USA we live a pretty good life. We have lots of freedoms. Speech, pursuit of happiness, religion, to name a few.

Somehow, over the past, say, 40 years, we have twisted these rights to include the right to be mean or evil if it can be concluded we have done so in the pursuit of one of our freedoms.

For instance, we don’t like a jury verdict, no problem, we’ll just burn down some guy’s store. Don’t like the government, well, we can all say that, but some want to take it too far and make threats and twist facts to suit themselves. That’s not a right; that’s just being mean.

On a global scale, let me just say this about religion. In the USA you can worship any way you want to, it’s your right. If you don’t believe the way I do, I will not hurt you over it, I will not burn your house down.

Some folks in the USA have taken a knee-jerk response to Muslims. Hate is such a contagious disease. These ISIS people are not being religious at all, they are being evil and mean.

Don’t hate the whole for the actions of a few. This is America and we welcome religious freedom, but freedom ends where evil begins. MIKE HUGHES
