14-year-old held in PB shooting death

Pine Bluff police arrested a 14-year-old boy Saturday evening in the shooting death of a teenager, according to a Pine Bluff Police Department news release.

About 7 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to 1114 W. 14th Ave. and found Joshua Campbell, 19, of Pine Bluff unresponsi­ve in the residence, police reported. Campbell was later pronounced dead at the scene from a single gunshot.

Several minors were at the scene when officers arrived, police said. After interviewi­ng them, officers determined that one of the minors was playing with a small-caliber pistol and shot Campbell, police said.

The 14-year-old boy was arrested on second-degree murder charges, police reported.
