Laughable worries

I’ve gotten a good chuckle from the various local officials who are concerned that the Quapaw tribe may build a casino some day. I suppose the officials want to maintain the ambience of the Little Rock Port area.

Perhaps they would be okay with the tribe so long as it agreed to just sell blankets and turquoise jewelry from a dusty roadside stand.

It’s hard to believe that over 400 years after the Plymouth Rock and Jamestown landing that Indians (excuse me, Native Americans) are still being dumped on. SCOTT T. VAUGHN
