In loving memory of our Matriarch, JUDITH UDELL DELKER (BLACKBURNB­ELL). Born November 1932 in Hudson, Stafford, Kansas and passed January 1, 2016, in Pulaski, Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter of William and Lydia Delker, she is remembered by countless people through her life. From her massive family which includes her beautiful two sisters, Leila Delker Emack and Twila Delker Lee, their five children, and multiple grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren. To her own legacy of three children, Cara Otts, Nancy Stewart-Ogden, and Julie Blackburn; her beloved stepchildr­en, David Bell, Tamara Milam, Beth Montgomery, and Lynnie Bell; 20 grandchild­ren, 16 great-grandchild­ren, and seven great-great-grandchild­ren; countless members of Easter Star, Red Hats and numerous other organizati­ons she was a part of throughout her long and exciting life.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Marlin Keith Delker; husbands, Charles Blackburn and Noah Bell; friends, grandchild­ren, and great-greatgrand­child, all of which were waiting to welcome her home in the arms of the Lord.

He was born on June 6, 1957 in Louisiana; he was the son of Townsel and Mary Lou Boyd. Townsel was a Security Officer for Baptist Health Center for nine years. He was an ordained minister in Pentecosta­l Faith. He is preceded in death by Townsel Boyd Sr., Mary Lou Boyd and Velva Maupin (sister). ––––– ––––– BOBBY JACK EDWARDS, 88, of Sherwood, died Friday, January 1, 2016. He was born February 19, 1927 in Cabot, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee A. and Hester Edwards, and a sister, Ava Parks. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Theresa Moore Edwards of Sherwood; his son, Andy (Shari) of North Little Rock; and three grandsons: Jake (Leah) of Centerton, Ark., John, and Jason of North Little Rock. He was a Navy veteran and had a long career in auto sales. His hobbies included raising and working with Missouri Foxtrotter horses, and he especially loved his family and enjoyed going to many sports activities involving his three grandsons.

––––– ––––– STEPHEN “HUNTER” GUINN, age 16, of Little Rock passed away unexpected­ly on Saturday, December 26, 2015. Hunter was born July 8, 1999, the son of Laurie Ann (Reynolds) Robinson and the late Stephen T. Guinn. Hunter was a proud member of the Little Rock Christian Academy varsity football team that just won the 5A/ West Championsh­ip. Hunter was preceded in death by his father; grandparen­ts: Elizabeth and Bob Mosby, Thomas Guinn, Elizabeth and Riley Hunter, and Ira Collerain. He is survived by his mother; stepfather, Mark Robinson; grandmothe­rs, Jean Guinn and Judy Robinson; stepbrothe­rs: Jason Guinn (Shonda), Joseph Guinn (Misty) and Peyton Robinson; stepsister­s, Jessica Guinn and Grace Ann Robinson; uncles: Rob Mosby (Tracy), Matt Robinson (Pam), David Robinson (Jennifer); aunts, Betty Hargraves (Walt) and Amy Criswell (Glenn); and their families.

Through losses of several close family members during his life, his mom was his constant. Her love for him, and his love for her, helped mold him into the fine young man he had become. Hunter had a great sense of humor, an appreciati­on of God’s grace, and a quiet, caring, humble nature. He was a good friend, a polite teen, and a mean Xbox foe. He loved his family, coaches, teammates, fellow students, and friends from every area of his life. In 16 short years, Hunter not only touched many lives, his passing also reminds us all that we are never promised tomorrow, and eternity’s door is presented as only God understand­s.

––––– ––––– JAMES WALTER McCRAW, 79, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 31, 2015. He was born Jan. 30, 1936. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. James worked at Little Rock Fire Department for 43 years and retired as Captain. He was known around the fire station for his good cooking, especially pies. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and was also an avid deer hunter. He served as President of Whitewater Hunting Club. He was always busy helping other people.

He was preceded in death by parents, John Sr. and Arcie McCraw; brother, Albert and sister, Lucille. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sammie; two sons, James R. ––––– ––––– CHARLES DANNY WARMAN departed this life on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the age of 65, following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

He was born on Jan. 30, 1950 in Little Rock, the son of Hutto Warman and Flora Howard Warman. He was preceded in death by his parents and three nephews: James Morehart, Larry Morehart and Cole Warman.

Dan graduated from McClellan High School and attended the University of Arkansas in Fayettevil­le. His career spanned many years as a photograph­er and writer at NorthLittl­eRock Times, The Daily Reader, CampusBull­etin at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and the ArkansasDe­mocrat-Gazette. He won numerous awards from the Arkansas Press Associatio­n until he was forced into retirement with illness.

He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Curt and Wanda Warman of Mount Ida; one sister, Mildred Morehart of Jonesboro; one uncle, Richard Howard and his wife, Martha of Benton; one nephew, Chris

Warman and his wife, Teresia of Mount Ida; one niece, Sandra Spears and her husband, Gary of Jonesboro; his great niece, Amber Warman; and his great nephew, Cody Warman.

––––– ––––– CHARLES R. WRIGHT SR. of Little Rock went to meet his Savior on Jan. 2, 2016. He was born on Dec. 5, 1932 in Rison, Ark. He was a graduate of White Hall High School in Pine Bluff, Ark. He served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1956 in the Air Force as a staff sergeant. He resided in Little Rock where he was retired from the Little Rock Airport as a FAA employee working as a radar engineer. His hobbies included fishing, watching history movies and was a HAM radio operator with the call signal KC5TXN.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Jo Wylie, his parents, Joseph and Roberta Wright and his brother Joseph Wright.

He is survived by two sons: Rusty Wright (Brenda) and Randy Wright (Donna), both of Little Rock; grandchild­ren: Justin Wright (Jessica) of Little Rock, Jon Wright (Sarah) of Memphis, Tenn., Hannah Davenport (Blake) of Maumelle, Ark., great-grandchild: Elle Wright and his brother, Frank Wright of Lockford, Calif. and several nieces and nephews.

ARKADELPHI­A — Wanda Christell Corn, age 92, of Arkadelphi­a, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, in Arkadelphi­a. She was born April 3, 1923, in Fendley, (Clark Co.) Arkansas, to Jesse and Onie Deaton Shepherd. She graduated from Arkadelphi­a

High School in 1941.

Christell was a longtime member of Park Hill Baptist Church where she was involved in the church nursery for over 40 years. She enjoyed doing volunteer work with the Christmas Store in Ark a delphi a for many years. She resided in the Plaza for the last four years, where she made many new friends and was loved by everyone because of her sweet, caring spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, L. D. Corn in 2005; her parents; also by three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors are three sons, Michael (Frances) Corn, Larry (Denise) Corn and Steve (Phyllis) Corn, all of Arkadelphi­a; one sister, Jean Walter of Lafayette, Calif.; three grandchild­ren, four great-grandchild­ren and two great-great-grandchild­ren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5 at Ruggles-Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

––––– ––––– CAMDEN — Dr. Charles Henry Fohn passed away on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at his home in Camden, Ark.

He was born in Hondo, Texas, on Nov. 15, 1931, the son of Thelma Decker Fohn and Maurice Fohn. He served in the U.S. Navy and later graduated from Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, La., where he met his future wife, Johelen. They married in 1955, and after serving a surgical residency in San Antonio, relocated to Camden, Ark., to start a medical practice in 1964. Charlie loved his work, his patients and his staff and had the joy of serving the Camden community for more than 50 years. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and colleagues.

Charlie is survived by his children: Karen Fohn of Houston, Texas; Alan Fohn of Fayettevil­le, Ark., and Marcia Rakoski and her husband, Larry of Bulverde, Texas; grandchild­ren, Michael Rakoski and his wife, Andrea of Whidbey Island, Wash., and William Rakoski of Bulverde, Texas; and two great-grandchild­ren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johelen; his son, Karl Fohn; and a brother, Joe Fohn.

Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Fulton Graham, and Earl “Buck” Chambliss, sister Opal Harrison, brothers Lloyd, Glen, Earl, and Morris Sweaza.

Bea retired in 1979, after 34 years, from the Int’l Paper Company, Bagpak Division. She was active in the Camden Local 367 Union where she served in several offices as well as president.

She was a member of Cullendale Baptist Church since 1952. She served many years as assistant superinten­dent with Bethel Laney of the 12-year-old Dept. In later years, she enjoyed her Sunday School Class and teachers. She, also, expressed her love for pastors Wade Totty, Dr. Jimmy Burkes, and Clay Doss. After retirement Bea enjoyed being an active member in the Bethesda Extension Homemakers Club. She had 59 first place ribbons, 25 second place, 13 third place, and one AR Sweepstake Winner Ribbon. Her ribbons were for quilts, handcrafts, and garden vegetables. In 1994, she was certified as a quilt judge. Bea was famous for her cooking, especially her pies. She loved working in her flower garden, vegetable garden and yard. She and Fulton won the City Beautifica­tion Award in 1992, and two awards for Christmas lights.

––––– ––––– CHOCTAW — Frieda Jeraldine Kidd, age 89, of Choctaw, Ark. passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015. Frieda preferred to be called Jerry, Mom or Grandma. She was born Sept. 16, 1926 in Clinton, Ark. to John and Esther Whitworth.

Jerry was married to the love of her life, Jim Lin Kidd for 70 years.

Following graduation from Clinton High School, Jerry attended State Teachers College in Conway, Ark. and became a school teacher, teaching at Choctaw, Ark. Jerry and Jim later moved to California where they lived and raised their five children. After retirement, Jim and Jerry returned to Choctaw, Ark.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jim (Sept. 5, 2015), one son, Phillip Kidd (Oct. 29, 2015) and two sisters, Laverne Shipp and Dortha Theberge.

Survivors are; two sons, Bruce Kidd of Riverside, Calif.; Roger Kidd and wife Sharon of Rogers, Ark.; two daughters, Sharon Thomas and husband Chuck of Chucky, Tenn.; and Tabby Finnerty and husband Tim of Alta Loma, Calif.; 14 grandchild­ren, 33 great-grandchild­ren and six great-great-grandchild­ren.

Jerry has one surviving sister, Marie Bowling and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was a Member of the Church of Christ of Choctaw, Ark.

Delmar served in the Air Force and retired after 21 years. After retiring, both he and Josephine went back to college at U.C.A. and after graduation, became school teachers. She taught 9th-12th grade math at St. Joseph in Conway for many years, and he taught history and economics at Conway High School. Josephine also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking.

––––– ––––– FAYETTEVIL­LE — Dr. Paul Robert Noland, 91, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015. A combat veteran, mayor, distinguis­hed professor, father, and grandfathe­r, Paul taught us to better our world by serving others.

Paul Ennis and Ruby Noland raised Paul Robert and his siblings, Albert, Richard (Dick), Anna May and Claree, in Laura, Illinois. Paul attended Blackburn College before serving in the United States Army in World War II. Paul’s company battled through Germany, assisting in the liberation of a concentrat­ion camp. The Army decorated Paul for his service, including three Bronze Battle Stars.

Paul met Eunice Hazenfield at the University of Illinois. The two married in 1947, in Decatur, Ill. Paul completed his undergradu­ate and graduate studies in Illinois before matriculat­ing to Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y. Paul accepted a professors­hip at the University of Arkansas over Tennessee and Hawaii because Fayettevil­le was the “most rural.” Cornell professors advised Paul to “only stay in Arkansas a few years.” 43 years later he retired as Head of the Animal Science Department. Members of Paul’s family hold 19 degrees from the University of Arkansas. He is the university’s 2012 Honorary Alumni.

Paul advised 46 graduate students and received the university’s 1963 Distinguis­hed Faculty Member Award. As the Faculty Advisor of the Alpha Iota chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity from the mid-60s until his retirement, he counseled hundreds of young men in the fraternity’s education and leadership program. The Arkansas Agricultur­al Hall of Fame recognized his achievemen­ts by inducting him in 1995.

Paul and Eunice lived in Panama from 1955 to 1957, working on an agricultur­al mission sponsored by the University of Arkansas and USDA. The relationsh­ips formed then led to an enduring associatio­n with Panama and its people. Paul and Eunice returned to Panama many times, including in 2009 when the Panamanian government awarded Paul Panama’s highest civilian honor, the Vasco Nunez de Balboa Award. Paul and Eunice opened their home to students from Panama and around the world. 132 Panamanian students attend the university today.

Paul contribute­d to his community through the Lions Club, as a Boy Scout leader, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the City of Fayettevil­le, including five years as Mayor. He attended Central United Methodist Church in Fayettevil­le for 65 years, serving as an active Sunday school teacher and member of the church’s board.

Paul is survived by his wife, Eunice Noland; brother, Albert Noland; sons Steve, Stewart, Bob, and Brian Noland; daughters-in-law Barbara, Debbie, Marilyn, and Ann Noland; grandchild­ren Heath and Ashley Noland, Matt and Hillary Sutherland, Ross and Ali Noland, Joe and Claire Beggans, John Paul and Brianna Noland, and Emily, Taylor, and Mallory Noland; and 10 great-grandchild­ren.

Lynn served four years in the United States Navy in his youth and was stationed on U.S. Navy Destroyer, the U.S.S. Elmer Montgomery as a Boatswains Mate. He also spent more than 30 years in law enforcemen­t serving the state of Arkansas; 27 of which were with the Arkansas State Police.

SALINA, Kan. — Paul Shepard Crumpton, 85, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015. He was born in Little Rock, Ark., to Wendell and Rebecca (Shepard) Crumpton, and was the grandson of Paul R. Shepard, who was the Scimitar Shrine Mason Potentate in the 1930s. He was a graduate of Little Rock High School. In 1950 Paul joined the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. In 1970 he retired with the rank of Master Sergeant and joined the reserves, working for the FAA as an electronic­s technician. In 1995 he retired from the FAA and worked for five years at Wichita State University. Outside of work, Paul loved Kansas State University football and had season tickets for more than 20 years.

Paul is survived by his wife, Patricia Crumpton of Salina; sons, Doug Crumpton and Steve Crumpton, both of Salina; stepsons, Eric Clayton of Salina, and Tom Clayton of Ellensburg, Wash.; daughters, Rebecca Cheema of Las Vegas and Trisha Crumpton of Salina; sister, Sheila Crumpton-Barron of Indianapol­is; and 15 grandchild­ren. Memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at the Sunset Park War Memorial, Salina. The family encourages all Kansas State University fans to wear school colors to honor Paul and his love for the Wildcats. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina.

––––– ––––– BUFFALO, Texas — Fredrick Thomas “Fred” Capio was born on February 5, 1943, in Tenafly, New Jersey, and passed away on December 23, 2015, in Fairfield, Texas, at the age of 72 years. His parents were Fredrick, Jr. & Carmella (Carrino) Capio. Fred served his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force where he was a missile launch commander for Titan II Missiles during the Cold War. After his retirement from the Air Force, Fred worked as a special agent for the United States Border Patrol and was primarily in charge of human and drug traffickin­g. He worked in several cities including El Paso, Laredo, Houston, and Little Rock. Fred settled in Cabot, Arkansas, after his retirement from the border patrol, but he continued to work in law enforcemen­t as a firearms instructor for the Federal Law Enforcemen­t Training Center. He was an expert in selling firearms and also helped design a knife used by the border patrol called a Vintage Randall Model 14 Knife. Fred had lived in Buffalo for the past 14 months and was Catholic in faith.

Fred was preceded in death by both of his parents and son, Kevin Leigh Capio. He is survived by wife, Karen Jackson Capio of Buffalo; sons, Alan (Kara) Jukes of Cabot, Arkansas, Douglas Owen Capio of Buffalo, and Freddie Alby Capio of Cabot, Arkansas; daughter, Kristen Allyne (Jason) Spier of El Paso; stepdaught­er, Courtney Jackson of Buffalo; brother, Ralph James (Heather) Capio of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Lorinda (Marbin) Morris of Albuquerqu­e, New Mexico; and grandchild­ren, Harper & Spencer Spier and Charlie & Henry Jukes.
