Documentary and Speech RUSSELLVILLE — All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Russellville invites the public to a showing of the documentary For the Bible Tells Me So and a speech by Judge Wendell L. Griffen of Little Rock at 7 p.m. at the church’s 501 S. Phoenix location. The 2007 film delves into the issue of homophobia and focuses on five Christian families who experienced their gay children “coming out” in their home communities. Griffen conducts workshops on human relations, equality, cultural competence and organizational effectiveness and serves as pastor of New Millennium Church. Sew Day CONWAY — The “A Second Tour” Quilts of Valor Group will hold a Sew Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McGee Center, 3800 College Ave. The group will cut out fabric for quilt tops that will be finished during a National Sew Day event, set for Feb. 6. These meetings are for people of any quilting skill level and are a good way for people to see what the group does. All quilt tops completed are given to veterans in Arkansas who have been nominated to receive a Quilt of Valor. Overnight Bicycle Ride GREERS FERRY — The Arkansas Bicycle Club will hold the Mountain View Bed and Breakfast Bicycle Ride, beginning at Narrows Park in Greers Ferry.
