ALTHA MAE ( PAT) BROWN, 79, born in Parkin, Ark., on March 17, 1937, passed on Friday, September 23, 2016. ––––– – –––– HARRY DINSMORE, JR., son of Harry Dinsmore, Sr. ( deceased) and Ethel M. Dinsmore ( deceased), Benton, Ark., and married April 7, 1951 ( 64 years) to Carolyn Sue Foreman Dinsmore ( deceased), passed away September 24, 2016.

Harry was born on October 31, 1924 in Shidler, Okla. During the Depression and afterwards with FDR’s New Deal, his family traveled to where the work was as his dad was a bridge builder. In his early teens, the family settled in Benton, Ark. Harry joined the United States Air Force in November, 1942, and served as 1st Lieutenant during World War II. He was a fighter pilot flying out of Italy. After the war, he came to Little Rock where he met and married the love of his life, Carolyn Sue Foreman in 1951. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma, with a Civil Engineerin­g Degree in 1954. After moving back to Little Rock, Harry worked at Arkansas Foundry Company ( AFCO) as a Structural Engineer. He then went to work for the Arkansas Highway Department as a bridge design engineer, until he retired in 1986.

Harry was a member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church, the Fisherman Sunday School Class, and the Oak Forest United Methodist Choir, and helped with the Parents Night Out Program. He served as Cub Scout Master and Boy Scout Master, and taught the children’s Sunday School Class at Oak Forest.

Harry always had a project to work on, and taught his sons how to build a house, work on a car, but most of all, he showed his sons how to love their families. He was always ready to lend a hand to whomever needed help. He participat­ed in setting up the free clinics that Oak Forest United Methodist Church supports, and volunteere­d for the Meals on Wheels and Food Bank.

He is survived by his children, Harry L. Dinsmore and wife, Kathy Sallis Dinsmore of Lewisville, Texas, Glenn E. Dinsmore and wife, Dawn Turner Dinsmore of Bryant, Ark., and Brian K. Dinsmore and wife, Debbie Hamer Dinsmore of Little Rock; grandchild­ren, Kevin S. Dinsmore and wife, Brittany Jones Dinsmore of Lewisville, Kelly Dinsmore Updike and husband, Joshua Updike of Lewisville, Paul R. Dinsmore and wife, Wendy Switzer Dinsmore of Lewisville, Michelle D. Dinsmore and Jeremy Neugent of Bryant, Sean Michael Dinsmore and Chelsea Johnson of Bryant, Sarah Dinsmore Baxter and husband, Samuel R. Dinsmore of Kansas City, Mo., Hannah Dinsmore Thomas and husband, Matthew Thomas of Texarkana, Ark., and Rachel E. Dinsmore of Little Rock; great- grandchild­ren, Faith Elizabeth Dinsmore of Lewisville, Emma Lynn Dinsmore of Lewisville, Abigail Ann Dinsmore of Lewisville, and Rylee Dawn Dinsmore of Bryant; and brother, Eugene Dinsmore of Benton, Ark.. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn; brother, Carl Richard Dinsmore; and sisters, Delores Nelson and Carolyn Emerson.

––––– – –––– ANNIE JEAN WILLOUGHBY DUNN was born October 22, 1937 in England, Ark., to Gold Sr. and Bessie Willoughby. She received Christ at an early age. Annie Jean served faithfully at New Haven United Methodist Church in Hensley, Ark., for many years where she sang in the choir and was active in ministry. She was also active in the ministry and with the United Methodist Women at McCabe United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, Ark., under the leadership of her son, Pastor Kenneth Dunn. After moving to Texas in 2009, Annie Jean served at Christ Unveiled Ministries in Garland, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor Charles Lincoln. There, she loved singing, Bible study and participat­ing in the Women’s Ministry. Annie Jean loved playing the piano both at home and at church.

Annie Jean was employed as a seamstress at Kellwood Company in Little Rock for close to 20 years. Later, she was employed by Paul Morrell Formal Wear until she retired in 2000.

Annie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Gold Sr. and Bessie Willoughby; husband, Norwood C. Dunn, Jr.; brothers, Ernest Sr., Jordan, Donald, Gold Jr.; and sisters, Elizabeth Richard, Gertie Best Jackson and Evelyn Samuel. Annie Jean departed this life on Thursday, September 22, 2016.

She is survived by her six children, Billy Taylor ( Shirley) of Jacksonvil­le, Ark., Gwendolyn Dunn of Dallas, Texas, Kenneth Dunn ( Caron) of Little Rock, Shelby Dunn ( Renee) of Rowlett, Texas, Norman Dunn ( Carla) of Aubrey, Texas and Elliott Dunn ( Whyndii) of DeSoto, Texas. Also surviving are her siblings, James Willoughby of Kansas City, Mo., Eddie Willoughby ( Brenda) of North Little Rock, John Arthur Willoughby of Little Rock, Dorothy Miller of Lonoke, Ark. and Ronald Willoughby of West Point, Ark.; grandchild­ren, Thomas Price ( Tasha), Kesha Taylor, Cameron Davis, Nathanael Dunn, Taylor Dunn, Whitnii Dunn, MacKenzie Dunn and Kenron Dunn; and great- grandchild­ren, Thomas Price, Jr., Timothy Price, Tyron Price, Tyra Price, Keturyah Bennett and Kingston Givens; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Wallace was born October 30, 1930 in Rison, Ark., to the late Jasper and Vera Roberts Miller. On June 27, 1947, she married John J. Wallace in Rison. Mrs. Wallace received a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in Pine Bluff and Little Rock. Mrs. Wallace was a member of First Baptist Church in Little Rock. She was also a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Associatio­n. Mrs. Wallace was a preceded in death by sisters, Marceline Miller, Patsy Rawls, Jetta Vee Stokes and Dixie Allred; brothers, Billy Joe Miller, Morris Dean Miller.

She is survived by her husband, John J. Wallace of Little Rock; daughter, Linda Marie ( Mitch) Tapson of Little Rock; three granddaugh­ters, Leslie Harper, Julie ( Trey) Elliott, Emily ( Brent) Pierce; eight great- grandchild­ren, Chloe Harper, Avery Harper, Emma Kate Elliott, Preston Elliott, Levi Elliott, Maddox Pierce, Addison Pierce, Luke Pierce; sister, Shirley Creasey of Pine Bluff.

––––– – –––– PERRY LYNN YOUNG, 54, passed away September 25, 2016, after a battle with cancer. Born March 11, 1962 to Wade and Grace Jones Young, Perry grew up in East End and attended Sheridan High School. Perry “Neon” Young, employed by Arkansas Sign and Neon, was known for fearlessly hanging signs off 40- story buildings by just a rope. He loved life, westerns, hunting, fishing, gardening, and Budweiser. Not necessaril­y in that order.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dee Dee Hostetler Young. Survived by daughter, Destiny Young ( Christy); son, Perry A. Young; stepson, Toby Hostetler; sister, Clara Young Faucett ( Pat); three brothers, Bobby A. Mitchell ( Betty), Harvey A. Battles and Darrell W. Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
