Drugs, gun found; man, 23, arrested
Little Rock police arrested a man after finding drugs and a gun in his vehicle Tuesday, according to an arrest report.
Officers encountered Kemo Jones about 7:50 p.m. at 5223 South University Ave. and smelled marijuana in his vehicle, the report states. Police reportedly searched the vehicle and found 12.7 ounces of marijuana, 5.2 grams of a “white powdery substance,” a white pill and a digital scale.
Officers also found a handgun and $2,791 in the vehicle, according to the report.
Jones, 23, was charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
He pleaded innocent to the charges Wednesday morning in Little Rock District Court.
Jones was being held in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $10,000 bond late Wednesday.
